Steve Baxter

Workshop Operations Manager

Steve is an accomplished Workshop Operations Manager with qualifications in Engineering, Frontline Management, and Welding Supervision, along with certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Mate2Manager Advanced.

Since joining De Goey Contractors in 2020, he has led daily workshop and facility operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards. He manages personnel, workflow, asset utilisation, maintenance planning, fabrication and surface coating activities, logistics coordination, and QA support, while driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Recognised for his technical competence, practical judgement, and results-driven leadership, Steven fosters a safe, efficient, and high-performing work environment aligned with organisational objectives.

Site Manager

Rhys is a qualified Site Manager holding a Certificate IV in Engineering (Boilermaker) along with various industry certifications and licences. 

Since joining De Goey Contractors in 2023, Rhys has overseen complex site operations with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and quality.

Rhys manages site crews, subcontractors, and provides technical support to project managers to ensure work meets client expectations and company standards. 

Known for his leadership and pragmatic approach, he drives productivity, leads resource planning and training, and maintains strong client relationships.

EHS Coordinator

Kendall is an experienced EHS Coordinator specialising in WHS systems and compliance across construction, mining, and engineering. 

Since joining De Goey Contractors in 2018, Kendall has provided practical WHS advice, led audits and inspections, and supported system improvements.

Kendall holds a Certificate IV in WHS, Certificate III in Business, and is trained in auditing, incident investigation, emergency procedures, and WHS software. She is also a certified Mental Health First Aider with skills in CPR, rehabilitation, and document control.

Site Manager

Dan is a qualified Site Manager holding a Certificate IV in Engineering (Boilermaker), supported by a range of industry certifications and licences. Since joining De Goey Contractors in 2017, he has led complex site operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency, consistently meeting client and company standards.

He manages site crews and subcontractors while supporting project managers & supervisors, with proven capability in schedule management, coordinating multiple work fronts, and maintaining strict QA and safety compliance. Known for his practical leadership, teamwork mentality, and problem-solving approach, Dan fosters a positive, productive team culture while driving productivity, overseeing resource planning, project quoting & execution while building strong client relationships on site to deliver successful project outcomes.

Adrian is a Site Operations Manager with 15+ years’ experience, known for his hands-on style and strong team leadership, delivering quality projects across multiple sites.

Since joining DGC in 2025, Adrian has managed daily operations, supported tendering and estimating, and ensured compliance with ISO 9001 standards. He also provides technical support and assists with planning, documentation, and resource coordination.

Managing Director

Tim is the Founder and Managing Director of De Goey Contractors, established in 2005. With over 20 years of experience across mining, agriculture, and construction, he leads the company’s strategic direction, operations, and growth while ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering services throughout Queensland.

Tim oversees site operations, workforce planning, client relationships, and compliance, maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and performance. He is also deeply committed to mentoring teams and driving continuous improvement and innovation across the business.

Tim holds qualifications as an IIW Welding Specialist, Welding Inspector, and Certified Welding Supervisor, supported by multiple trade and safety certifications.
